Future Taibon — Cassillia Awakens as a Machine in 2099

Cassillia Taibon awakens in a crypt in 2099 and discovers her vampire body has been replaced by an advanced machine built to cross a world destroyed by Hellweaver.

Her last memories come from 1887, but outside the tomb Strickfield Towne Centre is abandoned, zombies wander the village, and the Reality Sphere has turned Earth into a supernatural wasteland. Cassillia retains the appearance and many abilities of the Taibon vampire-Treilaunder hybrid, yet her new systems reveal metal, processors, neuro-optics, and a limitless power core beneath synthetic flesh.

Rob Fields’ post-apocalyptic urban fantasy begins Cassillia’s mission to prevent the Hellweaver Holocaust. Before she can reach Shore City, she must battle scorpion-tailed werewolves and escape the despot Serathoss, who captures women for sacrifice. Her mechanical rebirth may make her the last Taibon capable of challenging the force that conquered the multiverse.
