The Spirit of Langley Pond — A Murdered Woman Returns for Revenge

Forty years after Alayna Sanders was murdered at Langley Pond, a cruel prank awakens the ghost still trapped beneath its dark water.

In 1981, Alayna swims for shore while a rifle waits in the darkness. In 2021, Briana, Andy, Frog, and Jenny gather at a cabin beside the pond, where local legend says Alayna’s spirit never left. Frog decides to frighten the others with hidden speakers and staged splashes, but the screams moving across the water are not recordings—and the apparition that rises from the pond recognizes a face connected to the night she died.

Charles Campbell’s Southern ghost story moves between two summers to uncover a buried murder, a family secret, and a haunting driven by unfinished vengeance. The result is a lakeside tale of local folklore becoming terrifyingly real, where the past has waited four decades for the right person to return.
