Roxie — Supernatural Obsession Turns Love into Murder

Jake falls instantly in love with Roxie, an ageless stranger whose intoxicating presence leaves men willing to kill anyone she names.

Roxie appears without a last name, a history, or any explanation for the strange sweetness that overwhelms Jake and even captivates his dog. She disappears after one night, then returns a year later to collect the promise she planted in his mind: prove his love through murder. Each visit deepens the obsession, and the child she eventually brings with her reveals that Roxie’s hunger is part of something older and more widespread than one doomed romance.

Charles Campbell’s supernatural femme-fatale story explores glamour, compulsion, and creatures that use human longing as both a weapon and a means of survival. Jake believes love has finally entered his life; by the time he understands what Roxie is, his choices—and his blood-soaked devotion—belong to her.
