The Truth About Groundhog Day — The Witch’s Curse of Hollow Point

A witch’s Groundhog Day curse traps generations inside the ghost village of Hollow Point, where six shadows can summon the Hellweaver herself.

On February 2, 1821, Gretta Finny confronts the settlers who killed her coven and stole their land. She binds their lives to an immortal groundhog: if it sees its shadow for six consecutive years, the Dark Mother will return unless someone offers a life in payment. Two centuries later, four Strickfield University students camp in the abandoned village and uncover the final mayor’s account of the curse—without realizing their guide has a reason for bringing them there.

Rob Fields’ supernatural folk-horror story reimagines Groundhog Day through witchcraft, inherited guilt, an inescapable town, and a demonic weather ritual. The familiar promise of six more weeks of winter becomes a countdown to something far worse.
