AIDS Mary receives a chance to return to the day her life was destroyed—but changing the path that made her a Strickfield urban legend may be harder than reliving it.

The five-part Deadly Second Chances saga begins in Perdition, where the goddess Hellweaver discovers an ancient compact that could free her from confinement. She must offer five damaged souls an opportunity to choose a better life; if three fail, their souls become hers. Her first prospect is Mary Anne Wright, whose trauma, supernatural infection, and murderous revenge transformed her into the feared vigilante known as AIDS Mary.

Mary is sent backward with her memories intact, forced to confront the people and decisions that once turned pain into a killing spree. This Strickfield dark-fantasy chapter asks whether knowing the future is enough to escape it, or whether rage and betrayal will carry Mary to Perdition a second time.
