The one closest had a familiar pair of boots sitting on the table beside it. I walked closer and found most of my clothes neatly cleaned and folded. My shirt had been replaced with a plain black T shirt. I got dressed quickly and took stock in my belongings, wallet, keys, jewelry, and phone all check, but my gun and my knife were noticeably absent. I could get a signal here that was surprising, and there was a voicemail, so I decided to give it a listen.
