I Was Sent to a Small Town Where Strange Things Were Happening — A Vermont Church Demon

A security specialist investigating an abandoned Vermont town finds a restored church hiding human sacrifices and a demon that can wear any face.

Jones is an ex-military troubleshooter sent by Sentinel Security when workers renovating an old New England church begin quitting or disappearing. The town’s owner insists the project must continue, but tools move overnight, strange symbols appear in fresh lumber, and no one remains after dark. A hidden staircase beneath the church leads Jones toward the truth about the site’s history of witch burnings, satanic ritual, and something awakened by construction.

Michael Kelso’s rural supernatural horror story combines an isolated ghost town, a locked-church mystery, and a shapeshifting creature sustained by worship and sacrifice. When the entity copies Jones himself, the investigation becomes a race to escape the underground tunnels before it can leave town wearing his identity.
