Michelle Antisocial’s “Eh, Real Monsters from NEPA” follows scarred newcomer Patrick Marshall-Sherwood III, whom townspeople blame when livestock are mutilated. His sharp-tongued friend Marisa knows prejudice has pointed armed adults and their silver bullets at the wrong suspect. Keith Tomlin’s “Bed and Breakfast and Zombies” detours eleven-year-old Jake and his father Edward to Stones Creek, the Grinning Cat Inn, and a cemetery crypt connected to witches, ghouls, Count Dmitry Romanova, and his son Nikolai.

In Joe Solmo’s “Heart of Fire, Heart of Stone,” bullied Cody learns that Aiden Fitzgerald carries fire-elemental blood. With help from stepsister Abby, Cody must awaken an earth power built on patience and strength. John Oak Dalton’s “A Night of Hot Wax” sends Etheridge and August into Old Man Baldwin’s forbidden record collection, the history of the Cuyahoga Chamber Orchestra, and an abandoned plastics factory where a red-robed occult performance still demands musicians.

Killian Crane’s “The Lady in the Germ Box” strands Greg at Camp Tomatachi, where a blue-skinned Lady of the Lake rises from a portable toilet and grants wishes with malicious precision. Greg wants bully Russell gone, a starring role opposite Natalie, and the affection he thinks he deserves—but every request carries a consequence.

Volume 1 collects werewolf suspicion, small-town undead adventure, elemental fantasy, haunted music, and a cursed summer-camp bargain in one Halloween-season anthology. Each story credit and recognizable subject is preserved without giving away its final turn.
