Crime and Bedevilment: Two Thieves, an Occult Sisterhood & a Werewolf Curse

Brothers Brandon and Mickey rob a country estate and interrupt an occult initiation that transforms their easy score into werewolf horror.

The small-time thieves follow a wealthy woman from a bank, convinced that stealing one safe-deposit box will be simpler than robbing the whole building. Brandon brings the loaded gun and constant criticism; Mickey brings an unloaded weapon, a Hawaiian shirt, and a talent for making every plan harder. Their bickering carries them through a locked gate and into a candlelit room where the homeowner is preparing a bound man to become one of the Sisterhood’s supernatural Protectors.

Brandon kills the initiate, steals the box, and forces the woman to open an ornate collar inside. The magic she intended for her servant finds a different body. As fire spreads through the house and a winter storm covers the escape route, Mickey must contend with a transformed predator that still possesses his brother’s anger, memories, and deadly peanut allergy.

Joe Solmo’s “Crime and Bedevilment: The Falling Out of Two Brothers” mixes bungled burglary, black magic, werewolf transformation, sibling comedy, and gruesome consequences. The revised metadata names the occult Sisterhood and wolf curse without giving away every reversal in the brothers’ catastrophically bad night. Story by Joe Solmo.
