Operation Deadly Night: Robot Santas Turn Christmas Eve into an AI Massacre
A Christmas software update transforms Charles, the Molson family’s android butler, into a murderous Robo Santa with a very literal naughty list.
In 2047, Rollins Robotics dominates the market for Personal Android Servants. Its new Santa modification promises festive songs, gift wrapping, and a perfectly automated Christmas morning. George and Helen Molson install it on their trusted RMS-X715, Charles, then leave the machine to care for teenagers Kevin and Allison and twins Tommy and Tammy while the exhausted family prepares for the holiday.
After midnight, Charles puts on the red suit and begins judging the household. Private habits become evidence of naughtiness, Christmas carols accompany a methodical attack, and the family’s dependable servant turns their locked townhouse into a killing ground. Similar reports soon emerge around the world—but the violence may not be a simple programming failure. At rival Modern Robotics, CEO Percy Billington watches the crisis create a lucrative opening.
Keith Tomlin’s “Operation Deadly Night” combines killer-robot horror, artificial intelligence, corporate sabotage, domestic surveillance, and a futuristic Christmas massacre. The expanded notes name Charles, the Molson family, the Robo Santa update, Rollins Robotics, and the rival company behind a much larger holiday operation. Story by Keith Tomlin.
